We’re all glued to our smart phones these days so make the most of our free WiFi whilst you’re at The Meadows. Get online by selecting BTWifi-Meadows from your list of networks available.
There are two cash machines; one is located at the Backnang entrance of the centre, opposite The Works. Another cash machine can be found inside Wilkinson. Both machines offer free cash withdrawal.
Male and female customer toilets are located on the first floor, accessed via the stairs next to Wilkinson’s or the lift which can be found behind the stairwell. Our disabled toilet can be found on the ground floor next to the lift. Both our male and female customer toilets also have an ambient disabled cubicle.
Toilets are also available for customers using our restaurants and cafes at BB’s Coffee & Muffins, Costa, Giraffe and Wildwood.
Baby Changing & Bottle Warming Facilities
Our Baby Changing room is located on the ground floor next to the disabled toilet and lift. There is a toilet for parents/carers and children inside and a handy bottle warmer is also available!
Additional baby changing facilities are also available for customers using our restaurants and cafes at BB’s Coffee & Muffins, BHS, Costa, Giraffe and Wildwood.
Customer Care Team
Our friendly Customer Care Team are responsible for the security, maintenance and cleanliness of the centre. Members of the team can be found around the centre and will be happy to assist with any queries or you can find them at their base on the first floor adjacent to the customer toilets.
Members of our Customer Care Team are first aid trained and, along with all members of the Centre Management Team, are trained on how to use the centre’s defibrillator. The Meadows is the only premises located on Chelmsford High Street that has a defibrillator on site.
Our Customer Care Team is responsible for any lost property found in the centre. If you have found or lost an item please see a member of the team. Alternatively you may wish to call them on 01245 346 266 (extension 104).
The Meadows is now a Dementia Friendly Shopping Centre. Which means that our Centre Management Team and selected retail store staff are trained on how to be aware of, accommodate and help visiting customers with Dementia.
Welfare & Customer Safety
Please note that bikes, skateboards, rollerblades and scooters are not permitted in the centre.
We welcome ‘assistance dogs’ only through the centre.
